The Essen photographer Thomas Zika presents his "bathers"-series, which he created in 2003-4. In atmospheric pictures we make out distant swimmers, who almost dissolve in the indefinite mass of the ocean. By Zika's method of combining different horizons of photographic sharpness one gets the impression of a miniature world observed through a magnifying glass.
