the artists we convey their work in regular single exhibitions, publications and fairs. Six exhibitions a
year are held with works of both national and international artists. The program is aligned on the work of artists, who are concerned with basic questions on art. The focus is on art, that deals with
art's inherent problems, art reception and art communication, as well as art, that questions the function of art in our society; art positions, which inspire a dialogue in conscious perception of our
times. |

The gallery prefers art, that takes a look at the world from a perceiving point of view, combined with a
minimalistic reduction of the artistic means. This is true for paintings and sculptures, as well as for the photographs in the gallery's program. |
|
One principal focus is therefore the fictional photography based on the seminal work of the Essen professor,
photographer and collector Otto Steinert, whose followers themselves are now working as professors and photographers. (see > fotoGAM). . |

The artist as a “producer” and a “creator” of an abstract world parallel to our common reality is able to
take a new and at the same time original look at things. |
|
The artist is in an unbreakable relation to his own cultural space and time. A reflection of this can always
be found in the artwork, by the artist’s personal and subjective interpretation of the world around us. Reality revisited... |
