DIETER KRÄNZLEIN

The observer is challenged to verify his sensual perception of the subject matter he once thought to have recognized. That's because Kränzlein assigns qualities to the stone that contradict its own materiality. Now and then it's rough texture might appear wooly, light, textile-like, poured or even elastic. The destructive element of the disc grinder, the atomization of minerals procures the concha-limestone a new unexpected existence in a reality parallel to nature.
